1. Introduction Swiftlit Study LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates swiftlit.app (the "Site") and the Swiftlit mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site, use the App, or use our web-based tools (such as the "Set Creator").


2. Information We Collect We believe in data minimalism. We do not require you to create an account to use the basic features of our Site or App.

  • Log Data: Like most websites, our host (Odoo) and server providers automatically collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit the Site (e.g., IP address, browser type). This is standard procedure for security and diagnostics.

  • Mobile App Data: The App stores your notes, flashcards, and study progress locally on your device's filesystem. We do not transmit this study content to our servers.

  • Cookies: Our website uses essential cookies for the functioning of the Odoo platform. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or invasive tracking.

  • Set Creator Data: When you use the "Set Creator" tool on our Site, the data is processed entirely within your browser (client-side) using Local Storage. We do not view, store, or sell the content you process with this tool.

3. Device Permissions (Mobile App) To provide specific features, the App may request access to certain device functions:

  • Notifications: Used solely to send you local reminders for study sessions ("Swiftlit Study Reminders"). These are scheduled locally on your device; we do not track your schedule remotely.

  • Speech/Audio: The App uses your device's native text-to-speech engine to read questions and answers aloud. We do not record your voice.

4. Payments and Subscriptions We do not process payments or store your credit card information directly.

  • Mobile Subscriptions: All purchases made within the App (e.g., Swiftlit Premium) are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We only receive a transaction receipt to verify your premium status; we do not have access to your billing details.

5. How We Use Your Information We use the limited data we collect solely to:

  • Provide and maintain the functionality of the Site and App.

  • Monitor usage trends (anonymized) to detect technical issues.

  • Verify subscription status via Apple or Google services.

6. Third-Party Services Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. 


6a. Third-Party Services and Subscriptions 

  • Swiftlit does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or personal contact information. However, to process "Swiftlit Pro" in-app subscriptions, we use a third-party provider called RevenueCat. RevenueCat generates an anonymous App User ID to manage your subscription status, validate receipts with the app stores, and restore past purchases. This process collects anonymous purchase history and basic app interaction data required strictly for app functionality and analytics. No personally identifiable financial information (like your credit card number) is ever visible to or stored by the app, website, or Swiftlit Study LLC.


7. Children’s Privacy Our Site and App are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.


8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
